Successful Digitization of Human Resources Management
La Ligue de l’Enseignement is a secular movement for community education, offering educational, cultural, sports and leisure activities. Through 102 departmental federations, it brings together 20,000 local associations in 24,000 communes, representing over 1 million members.
In 2015, Ligue de l’Enseignement decided to implement HCM software to digitize and simplify the management of its human resources. Working at the time with a patchwork of Excel tools and files, it wanted to find software that would enable it to centralize and archive all HR information.
Implementing HCM software also enable the company to effectively manage the fluctuating staffing levels associated with our highly seasonal activity: from 400 people in the off-season to 2,000 employees during the summer period.
After consulting several publishers, La Ligue de l’Enseignement chose the SIGMA-HR solution.

Several methods of collecting working hours have been put in place, depending on employee profiles: 5 establishments are equipped with time clocks, while the rest of the staff use time sheets to declare their daily and weekly working hours.
Reports have also been created to analyze badging.
The planning module has been deployed to replace Excel in the housing centres, to manage the schedules of the catering, cleaning and reception teams.

Electronic Leave Management
SIGMA-HR’s solution is also used to manage absences and leaves, replacing the paper forms previously used.
Employees have real-time access to their leave and time balances from their HR self-service tool, and can submit absence requests from their own computer.

A Scalable HCM Solution
In 2020, the Ligue de l’Enseignement once again placed its trust in SIGMA-HR to digitize its economic, social and environmental database (EESDB), by integrating a module to that effect. Since then, the company has provided staff representatives with secure access to all the information they need to prepare for the annual consultation on the company’s strategic orientations.
Then, in 2022, the company turned to SIGMA-HR for help with talent management, entrusting them with the digitization of its professional interviews and training programs. Since then, management of these two HR functions has been greatly simplified, with automated invitations, the elimination of paper printouts, and reminder notifications of dates and deadlines.
